Step 3: How To Use The Arastta Template To Make A Dynamic Collection

Now that you’ve selected the Arastta template you will use it to make a Dynamic Collection. A Dynamic Collection is what you’ll use when you want to quickly and easily create Arastta-compatible products.

You make a Dynamic Collection by taking your source data’s attributes (color, weight, size etc.) and mapping them against the Arastta template’s fields. This is an easy process. However, if you get stuck the little “?” is your friend and will provide you with some pointers to get you moving again.

Venzee has given you some advanced features as well. You can perform math calculations, add padding for better visual appeal on the Arastta platform, and create tables. You can even use dynamic pricing by pairing up your source data’s attributes with the fields in the template.

Click “Generate” when you’re finished mapping and then “Export” to get the download link.

Work Smarter With Fewer Spreadsheets!

Let’s see a show of hands. Who likes to work with spreadsheets in order to upload products to Goodsie? Who has fun doing it?

I don’t see any raised hands. I wonder why. Hmm….

Don’t feel bad. Nobody likes spreadsheets and I mean…nobody. Spreadsheets are a kind of curse – I guess you could say – on the eCommerce world. They’re unwieldy, prone to human error, and they just generally sort of ruin your day.

That’s why Venzee was born!

Venzee frees you from having to spend a lot of valuable time dealing with spreadsheets. With only a small amount of spreadsheet use you can now both create and update products for Goodsie.

How it works:

Step 1: Sign Up For Venzee Is Free

You can start importing your data to Venzee right away. We’ve made importing to Venzee as easy as possible. However, if you want more information check out the videos below.

Step 3: Using The Goodsie Template To Create a Dynamic Collection

Now we’re going to use the Goodsie template to create a Dynamic Collection. We do this by mapping the attributes (color, size etc.) in your source data you uploaded in Step 1 with the fields in the Goodsie template. If you need assistance with this click the little “?” for some pointers.

There are some advanced features here that you might want to use. For example, you can create spec tables, perform calculations, and even add padding to make it all look more attractive. We’ve even given you a way to create entirely new content by combining your source data and the fields in the Goodsie template!

When you’re finished mapping click “Generate” and then click “Export” to get the download link.

You have just transformed your source data (uploaded in Step 1) into Goodsie-ready product records.  That’s the file you just received in your email. You can now use this file to create and update products for the Goodsie platform. Give it a try!

Check out the videos below for more information on creating Dynamic Collections.

We have made it easier to export

This is a sprint chock full of improvements based on popular customer requests including the ability to export a spreadsheet directly from our app. Previously, we sent an email whenever a user requested an export.

With this release users can now quickly choose both what they would like to export and the type of export. Export to a spreadsheet, directly to an app, or in the case of vendors, to a large retailer.

We’ve also made it easier than ever to get started using Venzee. Head on over to the dashboard and get your feet wet via our brand new Get Started section. You’ll be up and running in no time!

What’s new and improved at Venzee:

  • New Get Started section in the dashboard helps new users quickly get up to speed.
  • Export product spreadsheets directly from our app (no more emails).
  • We support 100+ Apps & Retail and that number is growing. We’ve added search to instantly find what you’re looking for.
  • Improved user interface on the Settings page for Product Lists and Exported Product Lists.
  • Increased the number of images you can export to Shopify and added ALT tags for each.

Release 3.2.27 – Working with multiple lists to build an export

Release 3.2.27 is a major improvement to our export function including the ability to add information from up to two additional product lists to an export.

UI Improvements

The old connectivity page has been replaced with a new layout and name, apps and sales channel ( supply chain )

The interface for building an export has had a considerable makeover to accommodate the ability to work with multiple product lists
We’re adding sections as part of the build process for exports, starting with required and recommended fields. This allows users to better focus their efforts and we’ll be following this with images and variants in the near term

Field labels that meet the requirements for exports often don’t match the name of the user friendly label on the destination app (Amazon and Shopify are good examples and can be confusing for users). We now display the ‘system’ label and a user friendly label and will be updating all our templates in the coming weeks

When an export returns an error, fields affected will be displayed at the top of the list of fields for quick action

Glossary terms have been updated through the app including product collections now referred to as lists

We’ve separated content and minor UX based on the role of the user (retailer vs vendor)

We’ve removed the requirement to share a list with vendors when retailers invite them to the platform (this only applies to vendors inviting retailers)

Venzee Release 3.2.25

Venzee release 3.2.25 is here and our development team remains hard at work on our upcoming export improvement. This is going to be a major enhancement to the export feature and will offer users the ability to work with attributes from multiple collections of products when building an export.

Issues resolved:

Multi-image attributes now display the correct values during export

Special characters (such as the dollar sign) no longer impact exports when the math rule is used
